How to Gamify Continuous Improvement Using the Impruver Bank Account

The Impruver Bank Account is a powerful tool for Continuous Improvement gamification. It helps leaders to build momentum and keep people engaged in creating a kaizen culture.


To use the Impruver Bank Account, log in to https://secure.impruver.com and you will arrive at the user Dashboard. From there find the dropdown arrow just beneath your profile picture in the header and click. Then select Manage Bank Account from the menu.

There are several main functions that you can perform with the Impruver Bank Account

  • Track earnings
  • Gift Cash to Others
  • Trade Cash for Rewards
  • Offer Rewards to Others
  • Fulfil Orders
  • Monitor Transactions via the Cash Ledger

Now lets walk through how each of these are done:

1. Track Earnings

  • Earn Cash: Cash is earned automatically as you complete desirable Continuous Improvement behaviors such as completing projects, achieving goals, completing action items, and other tasks. You can monitor your earnings in the gold performance tab in the upper left corner of every page or in the bank account
  • You can also track your lifetime earnings on the Bank Account page

2. Gift Cash to Others

You can gift cash to others in the Impruver Bank Account. This is usually done as a token of appreciation or a form of payment for services rendered. Let’s review how to gift cash to others:

  • Gift Cash to Others: 
    1) In the Impruver Bank Account, simply begin typing the name of the person to which you’d like to gift cash. Their name will appear in a dropdown menu. Select the recipient and a tag will appear, confirming that you have selected an active user.

    2) Enter the amount that you would like to gift

    3) Add a brief description for the gift

    4) Click the Send button

    5) Confirm the details of the transaction


3. Trade Cash for Rewards

The Impruver Bank Account automates much of the effort needed to gamify Continuous Improvement, including allowing people select from a list of rewards that can be traded for cash. Let’s review how to trade cash for rewards

  • Trading Cash for Rewards:
    1) Locate the item from the list of options for which to trade for cash

    2) Input the desired quantity of items to buy

    3) Click the ‘Order’ button

4. Offer Rewards to Others

You can offer any type of reward to your team with the Impruver Bank Account. If you have a Continuous Improvement Leader account, you can offer rewards to anyone in the company. Here’s how you do this:

  • Offering Rewards:
    1) In the Impruver Bank Account, access the Offer Stuff to Buy tab

    2) Click the ‘Cash Trade +’ button

3) Complete the form provided. Add an image, item name, item description, item cost, and click save

5. Fulfill Orders

You can manage the fulfillment of orders for rewards in the Impruver Bank Account. When orders are placed by your team, they appear in the Open Orders tab to be processed. Here are the steps to fulfill orders:

Order Fulfillment:

  1. Once you have satisfied the order, navigate to the Open Orders tab, locate the item that you wish to close out
  2. Simply click the ‘Close’ button

6. Monitoring Transactions

You can monitor all of your cash transactions in the ledger provided in the Impruver Bank Account. This lets you know what you have earned and spent, when, how, and how much in a ledger format. Here’s how you do this:

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the bank account page
  2. View the transaction history provided. You can also view the transaction history of your direct reports by selecting their name from the dropdown in the upper right corner of the ledger
